"Little Stream captures nostalgia and rootlessness in a romantic americana indie rock vibe"

Little Stream is a Stockholm based indie rock group with their roots in Swedish mining towns north of the arctic circle. Drawing inspiration from a diverse spectrum of musical influences ranging from the introspective melodies of singer-songwriters like Phoebe Bridgers and Ray Lamontagne to the sonic landscapes of bands such as Big Thief and Bon Iver. Infused with a sprinkle of '90s nostalgia, the band creates romantic indie rock with hints of Americana. At the heart of Little Stream's music lies profound reflections on the past, tinged with a sense of longing. Their lyrics delve into the essence of nostalgia, reflecting on communities either entirely erased or drastically transformed by the expanding mines; the yearning for physical spaces to anchor childhood memories.

Little Stream was formed in Stockholm in a studio collective together by friends Anna, Jussi and Elin during the covid-19 pandemic. Soon after guitar player Johan joined the band. The first years of the band’s existence was spent writing and recording demos of a bunch of songs. In the fall of 2023 the band recorded their first album in their own studio, Studio Lur. The name Little Stream comes from the rivers and creeks that are the blood flow of the northern part of Sweden where the band has its roots.
